TIPS

 

  • Sixty days go by quickly! If you miss a workout or ‘go off’ your meal plan – get right back at it the next meal or workout!
  • Attend at least two of the free nutrition and fitness workshops.
  • The best guideline for monitoring progress is how your clothes fit! Or use a tape measurer on your problem area’s and monitor the inches. Give yourself time!
  • Clean out your cupboards and fridge, prepare your meals try Get Fit
  • cooking classes.
  • Attend Get Fit Lake Chelan or participating community fitness activities. This changes your workout routine, adds a lot of fun and pushes you to a higher level of exercise.
  • Remember, the next 60 days will go by anyway! Just picture yourself leaner and healthier! You can do it – we are here to help!

Monday, September 16th:

Weigh-in at Valley Fitness, September 16 through September 21, 2013 from 6:00am to 8:00pm.  You will need to bring a check for $25.00 made out to ‘Get Fit Lake Chelan’. At the end of the contest, if you attend two (2) or more classes and weigh out, you will get the $25.00 check back!

 

Monday, September 23rd:

Opening session at Senior Center. Opening remarks by Ben Higgins, short talks from Dr. Amy Hutton, Fletcher Ellington, and Megan Kosel.

OFFICAL RULES & REGULATIONS

  1. Must be at least 18 years to enter.
    1. JUDGING:

Winners will be judged on weight loss 60% and class participation 40%.
Weight will be confidential and only available to the judging panel.
Prizes to be awarded to the top 3 winners.
Winners to be announced at the end of session. November 20th 7:00pm at Chelan Senior Center.

  1. There is an entry fee of $25.00. Said fee to be returned to participants that have attended 2 or more events and weigh out at end of contest.
  2. Each participant assumes all risk of injury, harm or loss of any kind arising from participa- tion in Get Fit Lake Chelan and holds Chelan Realty / Ben C. Higgins and program partners harmless from any loss and/or injury sustained as a result of their participation in the pro- gram. Consult with your physician or health care provider before starting any new exercise or nutrition program.
  3. A judging panel will be comprised of Ben C. Higgins, Tony Rose and Meg Raines.
  4. Final judging will take place after the last end date of the contest. Winners will be an- nounced November 20th.
  5. Participants must notify Get Fit Lake Chelan in writing of any changes in address or phone number. Winners who cannot be reached within 5 days at address or phone number listed on application will be disqualified.
  6. The must important rule is to have fun getting in shape and to remember this is just a jump start to a lifetime of fitness.
  7. Participants may not use anabolic steroids or any strength-enhancing prescription drugs or medications unless prescribed by a physician to treat an existing medical condition (medication and medical condition must be noted in the written potion of your packet with physician signature). Enhancement surgery is not permitted during your 12 weeks of partici- pation. Prizes may be withheld and winners may be asked to submit to polygraph and/or drug testing for final determination.
  8. Consult with your physician or health care provider before starting any new exercise or nu- trition program especially if you suffer from any medical condition or regularly use pre- scription or over-the-counter medications.
  9. All participants will receive a Get Fit hat.
  10. Any winner from the 2013 Spring Session must start at the weight that they finished, as far as figuring weight loss.
