Jay Witherbee Shares His Low Cal Dishes With Get Fit Lake Chelan Participants At November 1 Cooking Class

Jay discussed how to have a healthy Italian sauce without pasta by using hubbard squash and polenta as a replacement for the high carb pasta. Needless to say, his presentation and quality of food was delicious! Everybody was able to taste a portion using each substitute and were pleasantly surprised how great it tasted. Jay brought along some great appetizers as well, with smoked salmon, basil pesto, tapenade to taste. He also treated everyone to some of his smoked garlic, balsamic vinegar reduction, and smoked cheese.
Jay also shared with us his recent experiences on his trip to Italy, as he explained some of the different ways that cheese and olove oil was processed and named. All in all the food was great and everyone had a fantastic experience with the Get Fit Lake Chelan program.
